Mas des Bressades Les Vignes de Mon Père Cabernet Sauvignon - Syrah / VDP du Gard rouge 2009

Cabernet Sauvignon 70%, Syrah 30%. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks during 4-5 weeks. 12 months aging in new oak barrels. This wine offers exceptional value year after year. A terrific value wine for the money! Rich and concentrated, this bright red medium-bodied wine is packed with very ripe fruit including cassis & blackberry, plus earthy, spicy, Havana tobacco & dark chocolate notes with ripe tannins and good acidity providing structure. The Cabernet Sauvignon vines are more than 65 years old and the Syrah vines are about 35 years old. That results in ripe berry fruits in a wine of incredible concentration and depth of flavor. Serve at 16°C-17°C. Powerful, could wait 5-15 years.
