Chateau Lalande d’Auvion / AOC Medoc Cru Bourgeois rouge 2002

50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot. An ancient domain created in 1830. The average age of the vines is 25 years old. Tasting notes: Mechanical harvesting with hand sorting. Aged in French oak barrels over 12 months. A brilliant grenat color. The wine is round with supple fruit flavors. It has a rich palate with ripe tannins and a long well balanced finish. The ideal companion to white meat, grilled or roasted red meat, game, mushrooms and offal meats as well as cheeses. Best served at around 16° and remember to open the bottle a few hours before drinking or use a decanter.
